Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD – Criminals in northeastern Baghdad fired three 122 mm rockets into central Baghdad injuring seven Iraqi citizens and two Iraqi Policemen at approximately 12:45 p.m. May 6.

In addition, the attack caused damage to a local park, destroying playground equipment and a park bench. An Iraqi Police station was also damaged by a rocket that failed to detonate.

“These criminals are indiscriminately targeting innocent Iraqi civilians in Baghdad,” said Col. Allen Batschelet, chief of staff for Multi-National Division – Baghdad and 4th Infantry Division. “We will not stop or falter until these murderous criminals are brought to justice.”
