Iraqi Army stops SVBIED attack against post (Mosul)

Multi-National Division – North PAO

TIKRIT, Iraq – The Iraqi Army stopped a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device attack against the citizens of Mosul at Contingency Operating Post Rat May 3.

An al-Qaeda in Iraq member attempted to detonate the VBIED against COP Rat when he was engaged by the Iraqi Army.

The AQI member was killed, and an Iraqi Army soldier received minor injuries.
