MND-B Soldiers seize cache in Rusafa
Multi-National Division – Baghdad

BAGHDAD – Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers seized a weapons cache in the Rusafa security district of eastern Baghdad July 1.

Soldiers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light), uncovered a cache while conducting a search of a Turkomen club in the Mustansirya area of northern Rusafa. The cache contained 10 AK-47 assault rifles, 48 magazines, two grenades, a rocket propelled grenade sight and a box of 7.62mm ammunition.

“Confiscating this cache represents another step along the path leading to a safer and more secure country for all Iraqi people,” said Maj. Joey Sullinger, a spokesperson for 4th BCT, 10th Mount. Div. (L).  “We are happy to continue offering our assistance to Iraqi Security Forces as they lead the way in protecting and defending the citizens of eastern Baghdad.”
