MND-B Soliders detain 2 suspected criminals in raids

Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

 

BAGHDAD – Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers arrested two suspected criminals Oct. 22 – 23 while conducting early morning raids in the Rashid district of southern Baghdad.

     

At approximately 3 a.m. Oct. 22, Soldiers from Troop C, 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, MND-B, detained a suspected criminal in connection with a car bomb attack on Oct. 10 in the Abu T’shir community. The patrol delivered the suspect to a Coalition forces base for processing.

     

Soldiers from Company A, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B, detained a suspected special group criminal Oct. 23 at approximately 2 a.m. in the Aamel community. The patrol returned to a CF combat outpost with the suspect wanted for weapons trafficking for additional questioning.

 

“The 1st ‘Raider’ Brigade Soldiers set the example for progress against  criminals  operating in the Rashid district,” said Maj. Dave Olson, 1st BCT Spokesman, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B. “The Soldiers alongside their Iraqi Security forces  continue to make the area a safer place for its law-abiding citizens by removing these, criminals off the streets.”
