MND-B soldiers detain 9 suspected criminals in Rashid

Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq – Multi-National Division – Baghdad soldiers detained nine suspected criminals after noticing suspicious behavior while conducting an operation in southern Baghdad at approximately 2 a.m. May 6.

Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 4th Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, attached to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division detained, among others, a known criminal responsible for indirect fire attacks in Baghdad and another member of a criminal cell.

“The Tuskers Battalion and the Raider Brigade continue their efforts to rid the Rashid district of criminals,” said Maj. Dave Olson, 1st BCT Spokesman, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B. “Combined patrols with Coalition forces and Iraqi Security Forces continue on a daily basis to provide a safe and secure environment for the Iraqi citizens.”
