SVBIED attack kills five in Tal Afar
Multi-National Division – North PAO

TAL AFAR, Iraq – Five Iraqis, including one Iraqi Policeman, were killed when a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated at a neighborhood market in Tal Afar, Iraq, Sept. 6.

Reports indicate an additional 53 Iraqi civilians and four Iraqi Policemen were wounded in the attack.

“Despite the efforts of these criminals, the province of Ninewa continues to make improvements in security, economics and governance,” said Maj. Peggy Kageleiry, a spokeswoman for Coalition forces north of Baghdad.
